About Joseph
For 33 years, Joseph DiSalvo has served students and families as a Teacher, School Principal, and a member of the Santa Clara County Board of Education. He currently serves as the only member of the Board of Education with experience as a Teacher and School Principal. Throughout his career as an Educator, Joseph improved educational outcomes for students. During his service, two schools Mr. DiSalvo led earned a National Blue Ribbon School nomination for making progress in closing achievement gaps among underserved students.
On Santa Clara County Board of Education, Joseph has worked to ensure parents have access to accurate information on school performance, by establishing an annual report for school accountability. He expanded teacher recruitment and accreditation programs and fought to protect $1.5M in funding for Head Start early learning programs.
Now, Joseph is running for re-election to serve as a voice for Parents and Students in Santa Clara County. He will fight for every student’s right to receive high quality instruction from well-qualified teachers and ensure educational equity for underserved students.
